Relationship and Sex Education Policy - Consultation Stage 2 (2022) |
|
Over this school year we have been engaging in a review of our Relationship and Sex Education Policy. This is linked to ensuring that the school meets the requirements of the Department for Education (DfE) statutory framework as well as making sure that we give parents timely information about what is covered and in what year group.
As a school we understand that this is a complex topic and something that people will often have differing views so have taken time to hear these views both via email and also at Stage 1 of this consultation where we had parents (15), parent governors (3) and staff governors (2) in attendance. This feedback has been crucial to our work on this policy and we would again like to thank those parents that were able to attend or that sent in emails for their time and thoughts.
We have now been able to review all the feedback received and have made number of changes to policy and delivery. We now need final feedback from the full parental body. We would appreciate your help by visiting https://www.highcliffe.school/3803 , reviewing the policy and sending us any feedback before the 24th of June. |

Communications - Move to Email |
|
We will soon start a phased move from using text message towards emailing communication which will allow us to expand communication to parents.
Knowing that some email systems mis-categorise some content as SPAM it may be necessary for parents to check their spam folders and mark some senders as ‘safe’.
We will primarily be sending email from the address 8395406@groupcallalert.com (how this bulletin got to you) but some other emails may come form the domains @highcliffeschool.com and @highcliffe.school
Parents may wish to explore how to set up automated rules to move these messages in to a separate folder in their INBOX to keep messages together.
Please remember to tell school should any contact details change.
Urgent messages and those regarding unexplained absence will still be sent via text messages. |
|
School Diversity Week (RKH) |
|
As part of School Diversity Week, there will be a rainbow non-uniform day on Friday 24th June. Wear something bright and colourful to celebrate the diversity of our community and raise money for charity. £1 donation – charity to be confirmed after student vote. |
|
